To begin, for the Kernölgugelhupf egg yolks, water, pumpkin seed oil, powdered sugar and vanilla sugar are added to a bowl and stirred until foamy.

Beat the egg whites in a separate bowl until stiff, mix flour with baking powder and stir both alternately into the batter.

Now pour the batter into a greased and floured Gugelhupfform and bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C for about 1 hour.

Sprinkle the Kernölgugelhupf with powdered sugar before serving.
