Instructions:

Beet is healthy if the tubers are organically grown. Since the nitrate content is then lower, you can also feed them to smaller children once or twice a month form.

Finely chop the walnuts and add them to the yogurt with a pinch of salt and pepper. Finally, fold in the oil and season to taste. Cook the beet with the peel in about 50 minutes, cool, remove the peel and cut slices about 1 cm thick. Mix the egg. Heat 1 tablespoon of clarified butter in a frying pan. Pull the beet slices one by one through the egg, roll in the oat flakes and press the flake breading briefly on both sides until smooth.

Fry in hot clarified butter until crispy on both sides, drain briefly on kitchen roll. The mixture is enough for one child and two adults to snack on.

Bake. Sweet tooths, on the other hand, will prefer baked apple slices or bananas. Later, you can have a quark dish as a dip.

Tip: Use regular or light yogurt as needed!
