Instructions:

For the Linzer Kranzerl, strain the hard-boiled yolks through a fine hair sieve and stir together with the butter and powdered sugar until fluffy.

Add the remaining ingredients for the dough and quickly knead everything together. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour.

Preheat the oven to 180°. Divide the dough in half and roll each out. For the bottom cut out round cookies, for the top cut into round cookies with a hole in the middle.

Now brush the cookies with hole with beaten egg yolk and sprinkle with a mixture of flaked/chopped almonds and granulated sugar. Bake the tops and bottoms of the cookies in the preheated oven for 10 – 12 minutes until light brown.

After cooling down, put together one top and one bottom side of the Linzer Kranzerl with jam.
