For the Halloween blood soup, first peel the apples and cut away the core. Cut the plums in half, remove the pit and cut the flesh into small pieces. Wash the elderberries and drain well.

Heat the butter in a frying pan. Add the plums, apples and elderberries. Sprinkle with sugar and with cinnamon, stir gently and stew for about 20 minutes until soft.

In the meantime, mix flour with milk and empty over fruit. Bring to a boil, reduce heat again and simmer soup for another 5 minutes. Let cool.

Before serving, cut marshmallows in half widthwise. Moisten the back of the sugar eyes with a little water and stick them on each marshmallow half. Stick 2 marshmallows on the broad side of each on a wooden stick.

Pour the Halloween blood soup into bowls or cups and place the marshmallow skewer on top.
