A simple but delicious cake recipe:

For the dough, mix the flour in a baking bowl with the baking powder and sugar. Cut the butter into cubes, add the egg and 3 tbsp. milk. Knead everything together to a smooth dough. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to a circle of about 25 cm. Lift onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Peel the kiwis, cut them into slices and place them on the cake base, pressing them lightly into the dough. Place the cake on the bottom rack in the oven and bake for about 10 min. In the meantime, place the ingredients for the glaze in a small saucepan, bring to a boil once, stirring throughout. Remove the cake from the heat, spread the butter glaze evenly over the top. Reduce the oven heat to 200 degrees, bake the cake for about 10 min more.

The cake can be frozen whole or in pieces. Shelf life is about 2 months.
