A cake recipe for all foodies:

Coarsely grate apples and sprinkle with juice of one lemon.

Beat eggs and sugar until creamy and add vanilla sugar. Add butter, flour and baking powder, if necessary add a little milk. Pour the mixture into a well-buttered springform pan and spread the grated apples evenly on top. Bake at 180 degrees on the lowest rack for 45 minutes. Sprinkle with powdered sugar while still hot and serve lukewarm.
