Remove the skin from the bananas. Cut into slices, mash in a baking bowl with a fork. Heat butter in a saucepan. Stew the mashed bananas in the butter for 5 minutes, stirring until soft. Add 5 tbsp water. Cook over medium heat for 3 min until light.

Melt sugar in remaining water in saucepan. Stir into banana mixture form. Stir from time to time. Stir in rose water on top. Put the banana mixture in a preheated bowl. Mix cardamom, saffron and almond kernels in a saucepan and sprinkle over. Serve immediately hot.
