Instructions:

A great cake recipe for any occasion:

(*) For 1 baking tray of about 26 cm ø.

Beat butter and sugar until creamy, add egg. Rinse lemon hot, dry and finely grate the zest. Add half of the lemon zest to the butter mixture, set the rest aside for the icing. Add flour and salt and quickly mix everything together to form a dough. Leave to cool for about thirty minutes.

Preheat the oven to 180 °C.

Roll out the dough and place it on a baking tray covered with parchment paper. Prick the bottom of the dough with a fork. Sprinkle hazelnuts on top. Stir lemon zest set aside with remaining glaze ingredients. Peel apples, remove core, cut into narrow wedges. Spread evenly on the pastry base and pour the glaze over the top on the spot. Bake in the center of the oven for about thirty to forty minutes.

Depending on the recipe, grate the apples just as finely.
