For the sweet Striezel, weigh the dry ingredients into the bowl of the food processor. Weigh the milk and butter into a container and heat.

Add eggs and milk/butter to the bowl while stirring. Knead until a uniform mixture is formed. Let rise for 2 hours.

Knead the dough a bit, divide in half, form each strand and braid 2 plaits. Let rise for 20 minutes.

Brush with milk and sprinkle with hail sugar. Bake the Striezel in the preheated oven at 180-200 °C until golden brown.
