Instructions:

For the date-apple cake, pit and chop the dates and boil them in a splash of water for about 10 minutes until soft.

Peel apples, cut out core and cut into slices. Steam with dates for about 5 min., let cool.

Cream butter, mix in part of the sugar, then the egg and then the remaining sugar. Add flour and a pinch of salt and some cinnamon and knead a smooth dough.

Grease a cake springform pan, pour in the dough and press down on the sides and bottom.

Mix curd with egg, vanilla pulp and sugar properly. Spread half of the curd mixture on the dough.

Put stewed fruit on top and cover with the remaining curd.

Bake the date-apple cake in a heated oven at 200° C for 45 to 60 minutes.
