Beat salt, flour, water and 1 tbsp. oil to a dough. Coat the dough ball with oil and leave in a warm place for at least 2 hours. Dry the dough well with kitchen paper, dust with flour and shape on a kitchen towel. Knead well again, roll out and stretch thinly. Brush the rolled out dough with melted butter and spread the filling evenly on it.
Filling: beat butter and yolks until creamy. Add the ground poppy seeds and the layered cheese, which has been passed through a sieve. Beat egg whites and sugar until creamy, add lemon and salt and mix with curd. Roll into strudel dough and bake in the oven at 180 °C for about half an hour. Now baste with sweetened royal and brown in the stove.
