Instructions:

For the dumpling run, preheat the oven to 180 °C top and bottom heat. Prepare a viscous dough from the ingredients for the dumplings.

Bring lightly salted water to a boil in a large pot and scrape the dumpling dough into the lightly boiling water with a dumpling scraper. Cook the dumplings briefly until they have all risen to the surface and then strain.

Brush a baking dish with a little butter and place the dumplings in it. Mix the cream, eggs and spices and pour over the dumplings. Spread the grated Parmesan on the surface and put the casserole dish in the oven.

Bake the dumpling casserole for about 30 minutes, until the surface is golden brown. Serve sprinkled with chives if desired.
