First prepare the dough for the peanut buns. Put the milk and water in a mixing bowl and dissolve the crumbled yeast in it. Add flour, salt, baking malt and peanut butter and knead into a smooth dough.
If the dough is too firm, add a little more water, or if it is too soft, add some flour. Cover and let rest for about 30 minutes. When the dough has doubled in size, roll out on a floured countertop into a rectangle about 2 inches thick.
Mix together the peanut butter and peanut oil until smooth and brush over the top of the dough. Sprinkle a little coarse sea salt and the peanuts on top.
Press the nuts down a bit and roll up the dough sheet tightly lengthwise into a roll. Cut slices about 2 cm thick with a serrated knife and place on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
Cover and let rise for about 20 minutes. Before baking, sprinkle the peanut buns with water and bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees top/bottom heat for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
