Instructions:

Peel and core pears and quinces and cut into small pieces. Cut onion into 1 cm cubes. Cut chili pepper into fine rings and remove the seeds.

Sauté onion briefly in oil until translucent, add fruit pieces and remaining ingredients and cook for 30 minutes, stirring several times.

Fill the chutney into jars while still hot and close immediately.
