Cream butter or possibly light butter and add alternately one egg yolk and 1 tbsp. sugar. Mix flour, cornflour and baking powder, sift and stir into the mixture. Whip the egg whites and vanilla sugar to a stiff egg white and stir in. Cut out dumplings from the dough with a tablespoon and fry in hot fat on both sides until light yellow. Serve the dumplings sugared, with fruit juice or possibly with hot sugared wine.
