For the cabbage soup with ham, remove the coarse ribs from the cabbage. Wash and drain in a sieve. Finely shred.

Cut the smoked bacon into small cubes. Sauté in a wide pot until translucent. Add butter and heat. Add the cabbage and fry for 5 minutes. Season with pepper, salt, nutmeg, sugar and oregano.

Add hot soup and cook for about 60 min.

Mix flour and cream. Stir into the boiling soup. Cook for about 7 min. while stirring and season with salt and pepper.

Chop smoked ham into small strips and sprinkle into soup.

Serve the cabbage soup with ham hot.
