For the apple strudel, make a not too soft dough from flour, salt, cooking oil and lukewarm water. Caution: Do not stir in too much water at once!

Cover with a cloth and let rest for at least half an hour. In the meantime, core, de-stem and coarsely grate the apples.

Provide crumbs, nuts, sugar and the room-warm butter. Then on a floured cloth or baking mat, roll out the dough nice and thin, sprinkle well with crumbs and sugar, and spread the apple mixture over about 1/3 of the dough.

Sprinkle with nuts, butter flakes and cinnamon and roll up quickly. Repeat the same process with all the dough pieces.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the strudels on it. Smear with butter flakes and bake at about 180° in the preheated oven until golden brown.

Before removing, brush the apple strudel with sugar water, then the dough does not jump when cutting.
