Instructions:

For the white wine pears, grate zest from lemon, squeeze lemon. Carefully caramelize sugar in a saucepan. Add water, white wine, cinnamon, cloves and lemon juice.

Bring to the boil once. Peel and quarter pears, remove core. Add the pears to the broth. Cook on low heat for 10 minutes in a covered pot.

Leave to infuse overnight.
