A cake recipe for all foodies:
Rinse, clean and pit the cherries (drain well from the jar).
For the dough, mix the fat and sugar until creamy. Add salt and aroma. Fold in eggs one at a time. Mix flour, baking powder and melting flakes, fold in.
Fill the dough into a greased Springofrm (24 cm). Spread cherries evenly on top.
Bake in a heated oven (electric oven: 175 °C /gas: level 2) for about 1 hour.
Cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar and hail sugar.
A 24 cm cake yields about 12 pieces.
