For the chocolate ring cake, grease and flour the cake pan. Cream sugar and butter and add yolks one at a time, then stir in chocolate.

Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into chocolate mixture alternately with flour.

Pour the mixture into the pan and bake the chocolate ring cake at 160°C for about 1 hour.
