Curried Lentils with Bananas

Peel and finely dice the onions. Peel and crush the garlic cloves. Remove peel from apples, quarter, core and grate coarsely and sauté all together in oil until translucent.

Boil lentils with coriander and curry in water, season with salt and cayenne pepper and cook covered at low temperature for about 15 minutes.

Add onions, garlic and apples. Peel bananas and cut into slices, add to lentils and cook covered for another 5 minutes. The liquid should have almost evaporated, otherwise cook in an open saucepan.

In the meantime, cook whole wheat pasta in boiling hot salted water until al dente, drain and spread evenly on plates. Top with curried lentils and dress with sour whipped cream and chive rolls.

Tip: As an alternative to the fresh chives, you can also use the freeze-dried.
