For the fruit cake with pudding, first prepare the dough. Grease a shallow cake pan (24cm) and dust with flour. Preheat the oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat, hot air: approx.160°C).

Beat soft butter with hand mixer (beaters) on highest speed until smooth. Add sugar and vanilla sugar by the spoonful. Mix until you get a nice smooth consistency, add the two eggs, fold in flour and baking powder and mix on medium speed.

Pour batter into mold and smooth out. Place pan in the oven. Bake for 20-25 minutes. Remove bottom from pan and turn out onto cake rack (lined with baking paper). Allow the cake base to cool.

For the topping, wash the fruit thoroughly (to taste), e.g. cut bananas, kiwi, etc. into small pieces. Bring the pudding powder and milk to the boil in a saucepan. Spread cooled pudding (still liquid) evenly on the finished dough.

Top the pudding mixture with the desired fruits. Prepare cake glaze and spread it on the fruits. Allow the icing to set. Serve the fruit cake with pudding. Enjoy your meal!
