Instructions:

Rinse the oranges, rub dry and peel with a sharp kitchen knife very thin strips.

Boil water in a small saucepan and boil the orange peels for 5 minutes, then rinse and cool.

Peel the oranges with a kitchen knife down to the flesh, there should be no white skin left on them, then put them in 4 small glass bowls, pour the orange liqueur over them and set aside.

Boil the water with the sugar and simmer on low heat for 20 minutes until a light brown syrup is formed.

Place the orange strips crosswise over the oranges and carefully pour the hot caramel syrup over them.

Bring to the table well chilled!
