Rinse currants thoroughly and drain. Pluck them from the stems with a fork. place in a suitable bowl, sprinkle with sugar and infuse. In the meantime, cook the cream. Divide the currants evenly into glasses, keeping the rest for garnish. Pour the cream over the top. Place in the refrigerator for about 20 minutes. Garnish with the remaining currants before serving.
