A simple but delicious cake recipe:

Fry almond slivers in a frying pan without fat until golden brown. Dice marzipan, melt fine sugar in a saucepan while stirring until golden brown caramel is formed.

Quickly mix butter, whipping cream, honey, pulp of vanilla pod, marzipan paste and almond slivers until uniformly smooth.

Brush a baking tray with oil, spread the quantity on it and let it cool. When the mixture has cooled, arrange two rolls of about 3 cm in diameter and cut into 5 mm thick slices.

Dissolve the cake glaze in a water bath. Dip the caramel slices into it up to half the quantity, spread each with an almond and leave to cool.
