Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 220 degrees. Separate the eggs.

Mix the sugar with the softened butter and the yolks.

Add the vanilla sugar and stir in the flour. Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form and stir them in. Place spoonfuls on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and sprinkle with aniseed, bake in the heated oven for 5 minutes, remove on the spot, remove from the parchment paper and form arches using a wooden spoon handle.

Tip: To prevent the aniseed bows from becoming soft, keep them in a dry place – not with the lid closed. Bon appétit!
