Instructions:

Cut the bread into cubes as for fondue and toast in plenty of butter until golden brown.

For the cheese mixture, grate the cheese and season with pepper and nutmeg (freshly grated). Whisk with the cream to a firm paste. Pour the cheese mixture over the hot bread cubes form – in the frying pan – and toss until they are nicely coated with the cheese mixture.

Our tip: Fresh chives are much more aromatic than dried!
