For the apple-cinnamon almond cake, preheat the oven to 160 °C hot air. Wash and core the apples, peel if necessary, cut into cubes and sprinkle with lemon juice.

Cream the butter with sugar, vanilla sugar and rum, stir in the eggs one by one. Mix flour with cinnamon and baking powder and stir into the egg mixture.

Stir in the apples and almonds and pour into a cake pan and bake for about 50 minutes.
