Instructions:

For the apple confection, peel and scrape apples as desired (yields approx. 700 g). Slowly boil down with apple juice, sugar, lemon peel and cinnamon until thick. Stir in crumbs, almonds, rum and apple schnapps and let cool.

Form balls or small cylinders from the mixture and roll the apple confection in sponge cake crumbs or cinnamon sugar.
