A simple but delicious cake recipe:
Rinse and drain raisins. Cream butter with honey, salt and cinnamon with the whisks of a mixer. Fold in eggs one at a time. Combine wheat flour with baking powder and gradually fold in. Fold the raisins and sunflower seeds into the dough. Fill the dough into a greased cake springform pan (26 cm ø). Peel the apples, quarter them, core them and cut the outside lengthwise with a fork. Place the apples on the dough and bake in a heated oven at 175 °C on the 2nd rack from the bottom for 50-60 minutes.
Place the cake on a baking rack to cool and remove from the pan. When cooled, brush with apple syrup.
