Instructions:

Remove the outer leaves and the stem from the cabbage. Cut the cabbage into narrow strips with a sharp kitchen knife or on a cabbage slicer. Remove the skin from the apples, core them and finely dice them.

Sprinkle the cabbage with salt and add red wine vinegar. Mix everything and let stand for about 2 hours with the lid closed.
