For the apple rolls, peel the apples, remove the core and finely slice. Put the strudel sheets on top, brush with oil and sprinkle with the breadcrumbs.

Spread the sliced apples on top, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon and form rolls about 15 cm long. Bake the oil-coated apple rolls in the oven at 170 °C for about 15 minutes.

In the meantime, mix a few tablespoons of milk with the pudding powder, bring the remaining milk to the boil with the sugar and quickly stir the pudding powder into the milk.

Sprinkle the finished apple rolls with powdered sugar and serve while still warm with vanilla sauce.
