Instructions:

Peel apples. Cut out core. Stew in white wine with sugar and lemon peel for 5 minutes. Grease a fireproof dish. Put apples in it. Fill with grated almonds, sugar and raisins.

Bring milk to boil with sugar, salt, cornstarch and vanilla sugar, stirring. Remove from heat. Stir 2 tablespoons of Krem with egg yolks. Pour again into the remaining crem mold. Stir well. Do not make more! Pour over apples. Whip egg whites with sugar to egg whites. Spread evenly over the apples. Bake in the oven for about 15 min at 180 °C (gas stove level 3 or just under 1/2 large flame). If you wish, you can offer whipped, sugared whipped cream with the baked apples.

Our menu suggestion: serve meat loaf with leaf salad and potatoes as main course, baked apples as dessert.

Tip: If you don’t like raisins, just leave them out.
