Instructions:

For the apples with ginger put the apple pieces in lemon water, peel the ginger root and cut it into fine slices.

Boil sugar in lemon juice in 500 ml of water, add cinnamon, cloves, orange and lemon peel and ginger slices, boil.

Boil the apple pieces in this juice for about 1 minute, then pour into glasses.

Stir the Calvados into the syrup and pour it over the apples.

Close the jars and boil down for another 20 minutes at 100° (in the brook tube in a bowl of water).
