Instructions:

Roll out the bread dough thinly on a floured baking board. Cut out circles 12 cm in diameter, roll out lengthwise with a rolling pin and place on a greased baking sheet. Cover and let rise again.

Cut the kabanos into narrow slices. Preheat the oven to 210 °C.

Blanch the tomatoes, skin them, cut them in half and remove the stalks and seeds. Cut the halves into small cubes. Remove the skin from the onion and garlic and also cut into small cubes. Sauté the onion and garlic in 2 tablespoons of oil until soft.

Add the tomatoes, season with salt, pepper and marjoram and steam for a few minutes. Leave to cool. Peel the onion and cut into fine rings.

Spread the dough patties with the tomato mixture, top with the sausage slices and onion rings and drizzle with the remaining oil. Bake in a hot oven for about 15 minutes until golden brown and crispy.

Sprinkle the bread with additional cheese or top with slices of cheese kabanos.

The patties taste just as good with fresh mushrooms cut into slices or topped with strips of paprika! If you like, sprinkle capers or olives on top.

With a colorful leaf salad the sausage patties are a small meal, a little smaller shaped also a funny snack at parties.
