For the banana cake with morello cherries, place a springform ring around the cake base. Peel the bananas, cut into slices, sprinkle with lemon juice and spread evenly over the entire surface of the cake base.

Mix the custard powder with a little juice from the morello cherries until smooth. Bring the remaining contents of the jar to the boil in a saucepan, stirring constantly, then stir in the mixed custard.

Pour the pudding mixture with the morello cherries on top of the banana layer. Let the banana cake with morello cherries cool a bit and put it in the refrigerator.

Let it set, remove the springform ring and serve the banana cake well chilled.
