Try this delicious cake recipe:
Put soft shortening in a high baking bowl. Add eggs, lemon zest, sugar, cornstarch, flour and baking powder on top and mix well with a mixer on the highest setting, total mixing time about 2 min. Pour the batter into a loaf pan (30 cm long) lined with greased parchment paper, place in the preheated oven and bake. After baking, leave the cake in the pan, remove the paper, spread the glaze over the hot cake, let it set and top with cherries. For the icing, stir together powdered sugar and juice of one lemon until smooth. Remove the cake from the mold after it has cooled.
