For the basil mustard, mix the mustard powder and wine in a porcelain bowl. Briefly boil the vinegar and stir in the basil, mix in the lemon juice, then let cool.

Stir as much of the basil vinegar into the mustard paste until the mustard has a smooth, thick consistency. Pour the mustard into a jar and let it rest for at least 1 week.
