A bean recipe for every taste:

In Greece, people love dishes that are prepared warm and eaten cold. They are called plaki. This bean plaki is especially recommended for warm summer days.

Thread beans, rinse, cut once if necessary. Blanch them. That means: let them stand in hot water for a few minutes. Take out and drain. Heat oil in a saucepan. Dice peeled onions. Layer beans. Add salt, juice of one lemon, onions, savory, bread crumbs, pepper and parsley to the cooking pot. The last layer should be vegetables. Add water. Sprinkle parsley on top. Cook in 30 to 35 min. Cool.
