For the bitter hot bottle gourd, wash and dry the gourd slices. Heat the oil in a wok over high heat. Fry garlic, curry leaves and chilies in it for 10 seconds. Add salt, pumpkin slices, turmeric and chili powder and fry for 10-15 min, stirring all the time.
