Instructions:

For the blackberry dessert sauce, sort out the blackberries, picking the cleanest fruit possible and avoiding washing. Place blackberries in a large pot with some sugar (1-2 tablespoons) and let stand to draw juice.

After about 2-3 hours, when there is already liquid in the bottom of the pot, bring blackberries to a boil. Boil briefly until simmering. Then strain through a sieve or the liquid separator.

Put the mixture, which in the meantime has been freed from most of the seeds, back into a clean pot, add the star anise and the remaining sugar, grate some lemon zest and add it back together with the juice of the lemon.

Bring to the boil, turn down the flame and continue to cook for about 15 minutes, stirring constantly. Make sure that nothing burns. Fish out the star anise and fill into small, tightly closing, sterile bottles.
