Instructions:

Cream the butter with the honey and eggs until thick. Add the cinnamon, lemon zest and flour mixed with the baking powder.

Grease the cake tin. Spread the batter in it and let it rise for 20 minutes. Pour in the blackberries. Place the cake on the lowest shelf in the cold oven and bake at 200 °C for 25 minutes.

For the glaze, melt the butter at low temperature. Stir in the honey and the egg. Chop the almond kernels medium coarsely and add them. Stir in the cinnamon, the blackberry brandy and finally the wheat meal. Spread the glaze evenly over the pre-baked cake while it is still warm. Bake the blackberry cake on the 2nd shelf from the bottom for another 25 minutes. Bake until the surface is firm and golden.

Variation

The cake also tastes delicious with plums or possibly pears.
