Instructions:

A good way to use bread is what the English have come up with. They call the baked white bread slices Bread and Butter Pudding. You can use bread that is 2 days old.

Toast slices of white bread in the heated butter until golden. Place in a greased ovenproof dish. Drizzle with cognac. Mix eggs and milk. Pour over and let sit for about 15 min. Mix sugar, cinnamon and chopped hazelnuts and sprinkle on top. Cover with aluminum foil. Put it in the heated oven.

Baking time: 30 min.
