For the breaded pumpkin slices from the hot air deep fryer, first salt the peeled finger-thick pumpkin slices (preferably from the upper part without seeds). Whisk egg with a little milk in a soup plate and salt lightly.

Prepare one plate with breadcrumbs and one plate with flour. Dip the butternut slices first in the flour, then in the egg and finally roll them in the breadcrumbs.

Drizzle with a little oil and bake in a hot air fryer at 180 °C for 15 minutes.

Arrange the breaded pumpkin slices and serve.
