A great cake recipe for any occasion:

Grease a cake springform pan and sprinkle with breadcrumbs.

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.

Cream the butter with the sugar, gradually fold in the yolks, salt, lemon zest, cinnamon, nuts and flour sifted with the baking powder.

Beat the egg whites until stiff and fold into the batter. Finally, stir in the chocolate powder.

Fill the batter into the cake springform pan and spread the cherries evenly on top. Bake the cake on the second rack from the bottom for 1 hour – 1 hour and 10 min.

Let the cake cool on a cake rack, then sprinkle with the powdered sugar. Place a cake tip as a template on the cake. Sift the cocoa powder over it and lift off the top of the cake.
