These cakes should definitely be served with Bubba#s Tomato Butter (p. recipe).

Make a paste of the chili pepper, shrimp, garlic and buttermilk with a blender (or hand mixer). Mix in a baking bowl with the tomato, crab meat, salt, pepper and bread crumbs.

Arrange 8 round cakes from the mixture and bake in a deep fryer or alternatively a deep frying pan at 180-200° Celsius for about 3 min on each side until golden brown. Drain on paper towels and offer 2 cakes each on a plate with parsley and lime slice and place on the table with Bubba#s tomato butter.
