For the Candy Cane Martini, first prepare the glasses. To do this, finely crumble the candy canes. This works best either in a blitz chopper or by placing them in a freezer bag and tapping them with a meat tenderizer or rolling over them with pasta walkers.

Moisten the rim of the glass with a little lemon juice and dip in the candy cane crumbs.

For the cocktail, add the gin and vermouth to a shaker with plenty of ice and shake or stir well. Empty the Candy Cane Martini through a strainer into the glass.
