Instructions:

A great cake recipe for any occasion:

Briefly stir together quarl, oil, sugar, milk, vanilla sugar, egg and salt. Combine flour and baking powder and knead into the mixture. Roll out the dough on a greased baking sheet, top with cherries. (If using sour cherries: Pit the cherries, mix with sugar and let stand for half an hour, then drain). For the icing, mix well all the ingredients and pour over the cherries. Bake the cake at 225 °C for about half an hour.
