Instructions:

For the cherry cookies, mix all ingredients into a smooth dough. With moistened hands, divide into tablespoon-sized pieces and shape into small balls.

Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and flatten slightly. Cut the cherries into small pieces. Mix with the jelling sugar and the grated chocolate and place small heaps on the cookies, press lightly into the dough.

Bake at 170 °C on the middle shelf for 12 minutes. Do not bake longer, even if you feel the cookies need a little more time. Remove and let cool.

Melt the chocolate coating together with the butter in a water bath. Coat the cherry filling with it and let it set.
