For the chili con carne with chocolate, first peel and finely chop the onions and garlic. Wash the bell bell pepper, remove the stalk and seeds and finely dice. Remove the seeds from the chili pepper or leave the seeds in, depending on the desired spiciness. Remove the stalk and finely chop the chili pepper. Trim and dice the meat. Roughly chop the canned tomatoes. Drain the corn and beans. Grate the chocolate.

In a large enough pot, sauté onion and garlic in clarified butter, add meat. Stir in paprika, chili as well as tomato paste and fry briefly (not too long, otherwise the tomato paste will become bitter). Deglaze with the soup. Add the spices and herbs and the tomatoes. Put the lid on and simmer for about half an hour.

Then add the corn and beans. Also stir in the chocolate and simmer for another short time. Chili con carne with chocolate is best left to infuse before serving.
